This is Nagoya’s LGBT Community Centre, which hosts a programme called ANGEL LIFE NAGOYA and Our Gay Life Project. There are lots of events and is open to everyone. Everything is run in Japanese. You can find a lot of resources there (info about gay bars, health clinics, etc).

This map maybe be of more use to you than our infinite list of clubs. This doesn’t include some clubs that Stonewall members have really enjoyed themselves in, but there are still some great places! Members have been known to have fun at Ragglian Cafe (Number 19) and Short Bus (Number 37)! Some points to consider:

• The top map is in the Sakae area, which is a couple of blocks east of Hisaya-Odori, south-east of Sakae subway exits 12 and 13.
• The bottom map is just south-east of Nagoya station.
• The red building hosts Sexual Health Testing courtesy of rise, the community centre.
• Bottom left of the map (under the blue rise bubble) is the opening information about the community centre by Ikeda Park in Sakae.
• The very bottom lines on the map show last trains ingoing and outgoing of Nagoya, Fushimi, and Sakae subway stations.
• Please exercise caution whenever entering new areas. Some places only allow a certain type (salarymen, bears, etc.) these types are written in Japanese on map. Some may be for Japanese people only. Stonewall has never known anyone to have a bad time out in Nagoya, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be aware.
• This is not our map and we do not endorse unsafe sexual practices. This was a map being offered freely from the rise community centre and may make LGBT persons in the area feel more comfortable about getting to know the community.
